The Book of Umm continues with a new image posted here every second day. There are over 2500 gouache and water-color paintings in the series as of this writing. Working on the Umms is a daily ritual for me, seven days a week, for the past 14years.
The woodcuts continue. Since the summer of 2022 the work pattern has evolved into a seasonal process of printing small editions of woodcut novels in the warm months, work that has been developed in woodblock form over the cold months. The first title in this series, “Diary of a Birdman,” was printed in early Fall 22 in an edition of 6. “Faces of Evil,” and “A Man Going Mad in a Room” followed in 2023. “A Slice of Pizza in Kramatorsk,” the title page of which is featured above, was printed in the summer of 2024. “Vitaly: The Scream,” the new book with a focus on Ukraine, is available.
